Hello again,

I haven't done the symlink I suggested before. I am waiting
for your advice.

To illustrate my problems with autoconf:

urpmi automake gives me version 1.4-p6 which was released at
about the same time as 1.6, over one year ago.

I download the source and then:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] automake-1.6.3]# ./configure
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking for gawk... gawk
checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes
checking for perl... /usr/bin/perl
***configure: error: Autoconf 2.52 or better is required***

so obviously the script described in
$ cat /usr/share/doc/autoconf-2.13/IMPORTANT.README.MDK
does not work for me.

I am battling with all this, because I wanted to have
kdevelop.

# urpmi kdevelop

To satisfy dependencies, the following packages are going to
be installed (17 MB):
kdesdk-3.1.3-9mdk.i586
kdevelop-2.1.5-16mdk.i586
libkdesdk1-3.1.3-9mdk.i586
Is this OK? (Y/n) ]y
installing
/var/cache/urpmi/rpms/kdevelop-2.1.5-16mdk.i586.rpm
/var/cache/urpmi/rpms/kdesdk-3.1.3-9mdk.i586.rpm
/var/cache/urpmi/rpms/libkdesdk1-3.1.3-9mdk.i586.rpm
error: /var/cache/urpmi/rpms/kdesdk-3.1.3-9mdk.i586.rpm: MD5
digest: BAD Expected(97f2ba5a91888cd3af40f89be6b65868) !=
(393221db35071aa90eaa73816a9a5ba8)
unable to install package
/var/cache/urpmi/rpms/kdesdk-3.1.3-9mdk.i586.rpm

then:

Installation failed:
        kdesdk is needed by kdevelop-2.1.5-16mdk

I have tried removing kdesdk, reinstalling it again, manual
download... I can't get kdevelop working since I have 9.2.

I looked at the latest release and get this list of
requirements that are not satisfied in my mandrake 9.2!!
http://www.kdevelop.org/index.html?filename=requirements.html

So for now, I am still struggling with autoconf, automake
and the rest...

Thank you for any input and help.

Anguo

It looks like you're trying to run a program. Would you
like me to start WINWORD.EXE? [Y/N]
