Jim, The only person that was using Goodyear tires in Solo was Jim Murphy and he just didn't buy enough :-). Nobody else used them 'cause they sucked, plain and simple. Even Big Jim has finally seen the light :-) :-).

This was discussed at the FSAE event this weekend in Michigan. They used up the full stock of tires and some teams then had to go to Hoosier. The Goodyear people suggested that teams plan on construction with 13" wheels instead. Since the diameter between 13 and 10" tires is limited, they expect little transition problems for most teams. Now how long will Hoosier hold out?
