Interestring point Chris.
Some things that are desireable on a road course aren't in Solo and visa
versa.
I remember when one of the first guys to run a Tui super Vee in Solo, Kim
Baker of Bakeracing, set his ex-road car up for Solo in 1975.
He intentionally undid the factory low bumpsteer geometry in the rear to get
more grip in tight Solo corners. His name is in several places in the back
of the Solo rulebook and he had contracts from GM to set up and race
Corvettes for them in the 1980's.

My KBS Mk3 is number 001, and the logbook shows 1986 as the first
inspection/run date. It still has the wishbone rear suspension, which
turned out to work very poorly on the track, I hear, but is the bees
knees in autocrossing.

>>Somebody should really be capturing this thread... with a little bit
of distilling, I'll bet we could come up with a decent history of KBS
for the web site.
