The sky has not yet fallen, guys, and there is time to pull F500 back from the
brink. Consider these wise words from Dave Gomberg as posted on the SR Forum...

"From the July Fastrack-Tech Bulletin 06-07

 1. Effective 11/1/06 as approved by the BoD, add a new section to GCR section
16.4 to read as follows:
The number of races allowed in the Runoffs will not exceed 24. If there are
more than 24 National classes in a given year, the classes eligible for Runoffs
competition in the following year will be determined by the total entries per
National class over all divisions, and class(es) with the least number of
entrants will be determined as ineligible for the following year.

So, the old "best five division" numbers are gone. Every entry over the entire
country counts. The numbers that Stan posted are the important ones now. And,
for 2007, T3's poor numbers means they won't go to the Runoffs. Nor will any of
the new classes because they have no numbers for 2006. The 2008 Runoffs will be
the first time the real crunch occurs. That means the classes that are now on
the bubble have 2007 to get with the program.

 Dave"
