The SCCA Operations Handbook instructs Timing and Scoring folks to count
"entries" as those cars which take at least one lap in qualifying and/or the
green flag in the race (such as someone who shows up too late for qualifying
and so starts the race at the back of the pack). Hence my comment that I didn't
count qualifiers who didn't show up on the official results sheets. There are
some of those "entries" who will be counted on the official rolls, but I can't
know who they are just from reading the results.

cars entered at National events or all cars in a National class entered
in National and Regional events? This is one of those gray areas in
the regulations (unless I'm missing some definition or clarification)
that should be cleared up when the CRB gets a chance.
