1. By looking at advert rates, I think "we" are putting the kart before the horse. As you've seen from all varying responses, the F500 audience demographics are not easily defined. I can't imagine it being very large either. So "we" could be outspending our goals with such an endeavor.
Print campaigns are very costly and do we really have a way of measuring/guessing what kind of results will be generated from such a campaign? My answer is no. 2. These kinds of print campaigns are rarely used to sell messages. They are effective at selling products...like cars. So why aren't the F500 car manufactures doing any kind of print advertising? Obviously increased car sales would be part of a good solution for us all. With out question, we all can appreciate the car builders role and economic constraints: however, individually we could be generating more interest in the class thorough more event participation, unique events, and who knows what else. 3. A good F500 web site already exists and is very under-utilized. Only 2 car manufactures link into the site. Another link is for F500 rentals...who www.dolphin-motorsports.com/f500 by the way, already has THE slogan..."Fun Fast Affordable". Question: Why aren't all the F500 manufactures linked to the F500 site or at the very least have a presence on the sites home page? Why aren't there any home page site adverts for manufacturers? Sell your brand, don't keep it a secret? Is it impossible for the car manufactures to feed more information to the F500 site? Getting more car info on site would be a big help. Then, individually, we could direct more people to the web site knowing the site had the kind of information to help attract new blood. In the mean time...do your best to get out and race or autox display or talk about F500!
