The car I have has a fan in it. Its a poorly designed system. I need to use an external car battery to power the fans, and the ducting is so poor it just pushes air into the inside of the sidepods. I'm running about 145-150 at the line and then something near 180 at the end of the run. I think next year i'm going to move the radiators up to get better airflow while i'm on course, and just use maybe a water sprayer or external fan to cool the car between runs. Plus I was thinking of trying that evans stuff as coolant.

I believe a number of the AutoX crowd do this, at least in the paddock area. In racing there is sufficient air flow that fans are not needed. The only drawback in having a fan is the necessity of having a large enough battery to run it for the amount of time required. If the fan is to be used when the car is on course, it will have to be wired through the Master Battery switch so that when the Master is turned off....ALL electrical power is turned of in the car. I've found the the rads generate a lot of heat, but flow through the rad isn't great because of the oblique angle. At idle, I'm sure thay there is almost no air movement through the rad.
