If you recently bought Hoosier 18.0 x 7.5 - 10 tires, check the build code on the side of the tire! If the build code is 43MV I would suggest you get in touch with your Hoosier rep and request replacement.

I got a set of these tires a couple of weeks ago and used them for the first time last weekend at a CenDiv Solo event in Cincinnati. I planned on scrubbing them in before going to Topeka. After three runs, two of the tires were basically falling apart. It appears as if the rubber is delaminating from the carcass.

Stu Phipps was at the event also and when he saw my tires he said he recently had the same thing happen to him. The next day he brought one of his defective tires to the event. It exhibited the same problems and had the same build code as mine (43MV).

I talked to Tom Reichel at Mid-Atlantic Motorsports and he said he'd contact Hoosier to alert them to the problem and encourage them to bring extra tires to Topeka, just in case. Check the build code on your tires. This problem appears to only affect the 18" tires, not the 19.5" tires.
Good luck. See you in Topeka.
