Christopher,

I am 5' 11.5" tall and weigh 190#. I fit just fine in my 2001 Red Devil. I
did a lot of investigating about the type of car I could fit in prior to
buying. I didn't have the money to travel all over the country to sit in
cars so with the information on this list and asking a lot of questions I
felt pretty comfortable that the car I bought would work out, and it did. I
race with three other F5 guys one of which drives a new Invader, one drives
a KBS Mark IV and the other drives an early 90's Red Devil. I'm glad I
bought the car I did as each of these would have been a tight fit in terms
of leg room. I don't have to bend my knees at all in my car and I actually
use hard foam blocks on the sides of the cockpit so I don't slide sideways
while cornering. I have heard very favorable things about the Novakar's
spacious La-Z-Boy sized cockpit so I'm certain one of those would be no
problem for you. Just do your homework on it first or if possible, go sit
in some different makes.

As far as track time prior to school all I can say is that my first lap at
school was my first lap ever on a race track. That's the beauty of these
schools, they take things slow and do a good job of demonstrating the line
prior to driving even close to hot lap speeds. If you've had the track you
said already, you should be fine.

Thanks for all of the responses, they've been very helpful. A couple
of more questions:

First, I'm about 6'1" and 195#. Does that limit the selection of
vehicles I'd fit in?

Second, how useful is it to have driven the track your school is on
before taking the school? I'm thinking that with 9 HPDE days and 2
years of autox I'm reasonably quick at picking up the line, but I
wouldn't want to have that detract from learning the racing stuff at
the school.

Thanks again,

-Chris
