I have been autocrossing for 15 years, but ran on dot R compound tires. We always scuffed in our new tires before autocrossing on them. Is this equally important for the slicks we use on our F5 cars? I kind of wondered when I saw people pulling into grid and the hoosier stickers were still attached to the treads.
