Chuck, I think you are right. I used to have a great working relationship
with Penske when I was in Ford Racin. Just befor the Runoffs I got in touch
with them & they sent me a great little shock that they make for small race
cars. Long story short, I will post a picture on the F500 website. The
shock is available retail for $189 inclding a spring. I am trying to get
them to work out a deal to get this off the ground at a lower cost.

This could be the real difference to help us make F500s "real race cars" for
a very low cost.

I will post the picture in the next couple of days.

Thanks ... Jay Novak

Why not go for the "real" thing and ask for damping as well as springs.

Low cost is NOT undamped rubber pucks when you consider frame and body
damage.

In the long run, easier to tune by every racer and every race prep shop out
there.

Should the knowledge of all the little tricks to make rubber pucks kinda
work be in the hands of a gifted few?

Geez, Formula Vee is supposed to be low cost and they all have at least low
end Penske's on them.

I see retaining rubber pucks as just a cheap way to get new cars out the
door by the F500 mfg.

Every autocrosser of a stock or street prepared car knows the value of good
shocks on their cars.

No wonder they sneer at the rubber pucks in a F500.

"Not a real race car" comes to the lips.
