You can have the crank rebuilt. The crank is pressed together,
the rod journals and center bearings journals are pressed into
the counter weights. These get pressed apart, inspected, new bearings etc.
installed and pressed back together....hopefully in correct alignment
( that's the tricky part) It gets inspected for run out and tweaked as
it's pressed.
Like most things, if you have the equipment and experience, not too
bad......if not, send it to a pro. We used to always recheck the
shafts before they went back in, found a few with unacceptable
runouts.
Did the loose flywheel damage the keyway or taper on the crank?
Screw up any of the coil windings on the stator?
