What is the significance of choking only 1 carb? You really lost me on
that one. If you are going to the trouble of choking a carb, why wouldnt
you choke both? I have been in nasty cold weather where I bet choking
only 1 probably wouldnt start it.

Rather than a primer fuel bulb and extra fuel line running somehere
near the cockpit, how about an electric pump running in line with the
pulse pump and a on/off switch on the dash. Install it next to the fuel
tank in a safe location so that it pushes the gas to the pulse pump (the
high capacity version). Turn it on when the car is stone cold, it fills
the bowls, turn it off, choke one carb and it fires. Use it as a
back-up when the pulse pump is not doing it's job so that you can finish
the race. Been doing it this way since 1982.
Hope this helps.
