Chris, do you mean the F1000 rules were dropped for the engine inlet
restrictors, or that the motors can be anything?

The point is Chuck, a well designed purpose built machine will most
likely smoke, a well built, converted anything...
The other issue is the rules that were penciled in included engine
restrictions, Stohr-boy killed that also....
Have you looked at IMSA Lites? They're basically flat bottomed DSR
cars, but have to be homologated chassis and engine packages, meaning you
can't mess with the motors, only setup changes to the chassis basically.
The Stohr that became the West Racing car has a chassis, also Radical and a
couple of others... They run with ALMS on the same weekends, I saw they
run at Lime Rock.

Gee Chris, that thing is so doggone ugly...obscene body-part looking,

With the aero restrictions, I'm not so sure Stohr-boy has the class sewn
up.
It is a wide transverse engine setup and that does not have to be the way
in
F1000.
I reckon there is still considerable room for improvement in F1000 design.
Some of the carry-over from DSR/CSR may not be optimum, either.
I know other well-backed SR Mfg are building an F1000 too.
