Don't let the facts stand in the way of a good story, Chris. Lee Stohr wanted 
DSR-like unlimited engine rules for F-1000, but was turned down in favor of 
stock internals, cam lift, compression ratio and ECU to keep costs in check. We 
also did engine AND chassis dyno testing, which, along with the input we got 
from experienced m/c racing engine builders, convinced the CRB that late model 
m/c engines make target hp without using an SIR. That said, we also wrote into 
the rules that we may impose one AT ANY TIME if the CRB feels one is needed.
