You're not going to get 'one' right answer on this question. Fuel delivery is configured at least a half dozen ways on as a result of much experimentation. Some use electronic pump (4-6lb). Some use the diaphram pump. Some use both. Some add a regulator in-line with the electric pump. Some cars have a surge tank. I think part of the reason some systems work better than ohters has to do with the pickup location in the fuel cell. Most of the snowmobiles just have the diaphram pump. That's what I've used for the past 4 years that I've been running the Rotax engines. No electric pump. No regulator. No surge tank. I'm happy with the way it works and the simplicity. Maybe I've just been lucky.
