John, what's the difference?  Do you have a thread on either end to draw it 
together?  I have the hollow axle with a 3/4 sawed off bolt welded on each end, 
as do the QRE's..

I have 1.25 solid and it would take a lot of work to rig the thing up for a 
hollow bar. More than I want to do right now. Something to keep in mind for 
the future. Thanks.
