Steven, you must have been doing a Steve McQueen imitation in that car. I ran the stock Ford inertia switch in my very stiffly sprung Cobra over some very rough courses. The switch was right over the 3-link setup. Never tripped the switch in two years.
/Fuel Pumps (cutoff)- Richard, if you race on bumpy tracks I would suggest avoiding the Impact type cutoff switches. My own personal experiences (with Ford products) is that fuel cutoff happens very early and often times when there is no real impact. After bottoming out numerous Ford rent cars over railroad tracks etc, the fuel cutoff would be triggered. This rent a car suspension bottoming was never anything close to the G/vibration load in an F5. Maybe other brands are different but you may want to check the manufacturing specs./ ________________________________ FormulaCar Magazine - A Proud Supporter of Formula 500 The Official Publication of Junior Formula Car Racing Subscribe Today! www.formulacarmag.com or 519-624-2003 _________________________________ _______________________________________________ F500 mailing list - [email protected] To unsubscribe or change options please visit: http://f500.org/mailman/listinfo/f500 *** Please, DO NOT send unsubscribe requests to the mailing list! ***
