ok i will pull my manual out when i get home, i haven't actually touched one of these in a few years but if i remember they come with a line scribed on from the factory and if i remember correctly it was actually pretty close, it was the flywheel mark that was actually off so the timing is always off using when you use a timing light to set it. and for those of you that were keeping that a secret i guess i let the cat out of the bag, im not saying they are all off but some of em are for sure.
ill get back to ya when i get home and pull out the rotax racing manual.

Dan,

A rebuilder set the timing. After pulling on the
starter cord more than 1,000 times over the course of
11 days, I'm just trying to confirm that the valve
timing is in the neighborhood of "correct" without
pulling off the oil injector system.
