I have the Fog City liner with photochromic and the only time it has
fogged on me was coming off the track after a rain session at about 45
degrees. Stopped with no air flow, it would fog from the heat from my
sweat; cracking the visor cleared it immediately, wish I could say the
same for my glasses...

I don't know what the cost premium is for the fog free shields, but I
have had good success with the Fog City anti-fog liner on my standard
shield. No fogging, regardless of weather. They last forever, and
the cost was about $19 the last time I bought one (3-4 years ago).
