I have raced since 1960 with glasses. I find that with the balaclava it is
best to inhale with your mouth and then breath down with your nose. I also
have the glasses just a shade more forward on my nose than usual. I also put
a thin piece of duct tape under the visor rim so it is cracked just enough
to let in some air without the grid meanies getting all over me. I use bar
soap on the lens and have not had a problem with fogging.

I have the Fog City liner with photochromic and the only time it has fogged
on me was coming off the track after a rain session at about 45 degrees.
Stopped with no air flow, it would fog from the heat from my sweat;
cracking the visor cleared it immediately, wish I could say the same for my
glasses...

I don't know what the cost premium is for the fog free shields, but I have
had good success with the Fog City anti-fog liner on my standard shield.
No fogging, regardless of weather. They last forever, and the cost was
about $19 the last time I bought one (3-4 years ago).
