Most competitve racers in this class have 2-3 final drive gears and maybe a
couple secondary helixes and springs, for a total cost of less than $400. What
would be the investment for multiple gear sets and rear end gears for a bike
motor / tranny set up in our cars?

don't you also change final drive ratios with the CVT cars to optimize the
clutching?

Another interesting thing about the bike transmision cars is that the really
fast guys sometimes change gear ratios and at least final drives for
different road courses.

The ratio spread on some bikes needs to be changed between a bike and a
much heavier high DF DSR or CSR.

This has also been a little publiized problem with bike motored street cars
also.

Starts to make CVT's look good again.
