Dean, point taken.

Steve, please accept my apologies for going overboard on my comments.

Now, having said that, the Solo rulebook primarily varies from the GCR in terms of safety features. We still have to adhere to the engine and suspension
rules just like a road race car.

Lee

Lee,
I don't think Steve deserves your call as "holier than thou" and I think you
missed the point. That is, road racers live by the GCR and solo racers live
by the Solo Rule book. The rules are different and the objectives are
different. I doubt if the solo racers would want road racers making their
rules and visa versa. It's just a matter of self interest and controlling
ones own destiny without the influence of those who don't have a vested
interest. Sure we use the same car but under a different set of rules and I
would bet that being in a solo modified class allows a lot more versatility
than the road racing GCR does.

So remember we share the same basic cars, but live by different rules coming
out of the same sanctioning body.
