You got exactly what you ordered. You will want a DPDT (double pole, double throw) switch. It will have 6 terminals on the back.
Like this: 1| |4 2| |5 3| |6 Terminals 1-2 would be to ground the ignition. Terminals 5-6 would be to turn off the electrics. The terminals won't be numbered, but this is how it will look. Is the correct designation for the toggle switch for this applications as follows: double pole / single throw with one circuit normally open and the other normally closed? I thought I ordered a switch with that spec from McMaster Carr, but when I wire it up, both circuits are on and off at the same time, not reversed like I need. Am I missing something? Also, can anyone tell me where they have bought the correct switch? Thanks, Cory --------------------------------- Ahhh...imagining that irresistible "new car" smell? ________________________________ FormulaCar Magazine - A Proud Supporter of Formula 500 The Official Publication of Junior Formula Car Racing Subscribe Today! www.formulacarmag.com or 519-624-2003 _________________________________ _______________________________________________ F500 mailing list - [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe or change options please visit: http://f500.org/mailman/listinfo/f500 *** Please, DO NOT send unsubscribe requests to the mailing list! ***
