We have used double pole, single throw switches for master switches for over 20 years including our last 2 new cars. We have never had a problem with tech locally or at the Runoffs. However this type of switch is NOT LEGAL if you have a battery in the car. If you have a battery in the car you must have a high amperage switch to disconnect the battery. These are typically the big red twist type master switches. Our cars are jumped with external connectors.
