It refers to something entirely different. You say it, but I haven't seen any other interpretation yet. Ramana was very well aware of stages with self-realization, ie. after being liberated, according to a friend who came close to one of his very close discoples (Annamallai Swami) Yet he sees Videha Mukti as being after death. IMO its all interpretation, and you can interpret anything into the text you want. Unity is a term Maharishi uses. How you know its Videha? Have you asked Maharishi?
