All the fear is born of the mind. Let go and follow your heart. Of course you should use the picture of Guru Dev, who has given us this wisdom of the integration of life and is the source of this teaching. We never did a puja to MMY. He didn't want us to do a puja to him. The only person I've seen do a puja to MMY is SSRS. He had the big picture of Guru Dev and then a smaller picture of MMY's feet next to it on his puja table.
