************************ Back in the 60s, MMY described the gradual approach of the TM movement as being part of "The Divine Plan" http://geocities.com/bbrigante/retards.html#light When MMY says that something is part of the Divine Plan, it means that human intelligence could not make the determinations necessary for the plan. So the decision to unfold enlightenment values slowly is a given, not something that can be questioned by limited human intelligence, although the policy can certainly be understood by ordinary human intelligence (there are going to be people who can't understand because they operate at less-than-ordinary intelligence). MMY's explanation of the go-slow policy is simple: the TMO cannot create large pundit groups quickly or teach large numbers of people TM quickly, because this would "create fear and havoc" in material life in this dark and ignorant world. Now that a few candles have been lit in the West, making the transition from darkness to the bright light of Vedic culture less shocking to the world, the focus on growth is going to India, where the plan is to restore Vedic culture: In his press conference of 13Apr2005 at mou.org, Maharishi said that "As Indian national consciousness rises in coherence -- which is the basis of invincibility for the nation�then world consciousness will rise in coherence �which is the basis of permanent world peace...One sun rises, but its innumerable rays spread light everywhere...So it's natural for the influence of coherence to spread from India to the whole world." If you are incapable of accepting MMY's statement that going slow for the TMO is the Divine Plan, then either you operate at less than ordinary human intelligence so that you are incapable of understanding, or you simply do not accept MMY's status as a yogi capable of speaking out the Divine Plan.
