You are surrendering your personal intent  or "I", the
foundation of your ignorance, to a Self-referential
aspect of Brahman or Self. This has a two-fold effect.
It enlivens that quality of Self in your mind which
will create bliss and the quality of that bija will
become lively in awareness. And it will allow you to
transcend to nirguna Brahman: impersonal Being.
