The key to a spiritual teacher having sex with a student is implied in what Patrick writes as a humorous classified ad below. In other words, be completely honest and truthful about it. And if it is purely on the level of lust, communicate that.
Too often though there seems to be the implied, 'hey if you sleep with me, that ol' evolution meter of yours will advance several degrees...guaranteed...'. Perhaps this is what the student thinks on their own, or this idea manifests itself as a result of the culture around the teacher, or it is stated explicitly by the teacher. In any case, if that thought linking sex with the student to their spiritual evolution is the motive behind the sex, the teacher should refuse it. It is a demonstration of their maturity, their sense of ethics and compassion to do so. --- In [email protected], "Ingegerd" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: I really hope, when we > are so busy to develop spirituality, that we also develop some > ethical standards as well.
