The mindset of the fanatic is that one can *never* admit
that there can be another POV on the subject about which
one is fanatical.  That's the whole POINT.  It's not ABOUT
the thing that the fanatic is seemingly fanatical about;
it's about being so terrified of being wrong (or being
perceived as wrong) that one has to actively declare one-
self RIGHT and anyone who has another POV on the subject
WRONG.

To such an individual, self-examination is anathema, never
to be even considered, because it introduces the possibility
of being wrong.  The whole GAME is about never being wrong.

-----I don't know. Bob has retaliated lately in subtle ways. Fir unstance, for almost a year straight he put forth the, Crazy Wisdom Movement - Ship of Fools, POV too explain discrepancies. You know, the Jesus wept because we're all such dopes, and then because of the evil dark being wiped out too quickly it retaliated in the cruxifiction.

Now he's saying that perhaps Vedic India won't be had for maybe 300 generations.

That is an extrapolation, and change.

I'm not sure of what value it is, but my guess is that Bob, maybe like other Governors, invested a lot of time in the Movement and wants to see his investment returned.  The idea that TMO is a spiritual Enron is unacceptable. But that's what he does feel or the need to lash out wouldn't be there. There is the acceptance of the reality of the bogus schemes of the Movement....

But then after a good meditation or whatever, during which the bliss and sattwa come again, then the failure of the stupid TMO management becomes apparent. And what is the reason for that?

I mean, how does one reconcile TM with Maharishi's more bogus schemes?

At any rate, I don't think Bob's a true fanatic. Maybe just about a few issues.  True fanatics are compelled to charge out and preach to the masses on streetcorners.
