It's quite distinct from *any* scene that I've ever
experienced.

Exactly. In my experience, it's present even with a
much smaller number of people meditating together.
It's present in a room, or a building, where people
have been meditating together--or doing puja--whether
meditation or puja is currently taking place or not.

And for me, it was totally unexpected. Nobody had
told me about it beforehand.

I still have no idea how to describe it. I wouldn't
necessarily say it was a "good feeling"; it's not a
"bad feeling," certainly, but it's not really a
"feeling" at all.
