It's quite distinct from *any* scene that I've ever experienced. Some of my first group meds in Palley Ballroom > at UCB -- with over 1000 divers, it was clear there is an > "effect" -- a phenomenon that you can almost cut with a knife. Exactly. In my experience, it's present even with a much smaller number of people meditating together. It's present in a room, or a building, where people have been meditating together--or doing puja--whether meditation or puja is currently taking place or not. And for me, it was totally unexpected. Nobody had told me about it beforehand. I still have no idea how to describe it. I wouldn't necessarily say it was a "good feeling"; it's not a "bad feeling," certainly, but it's not really a "feeling" at all.
