You may want to check out a 1985 interview available on one of the 
sites for him.  He also had some ads in the early days I believe 
listing some of his credentials starting as a priest in Atlantas, 
and then various positions in Tibetan Buddhist temples through the 
eons.  Sort of over the top, but I would wager there're probably on 
target.  Kinda fun to listen to bits of his lectures which are also 
available.  Also some early pioneering computer stuff you might be 
interested in.  Even a unique Microsoft connection.
