Unfathomable are the ways of karma and all that.

It's been my observation that MMY often let people go their own way 
in running the TMO at various levels, and many of them played the 
crowd in The Life of Brian: "We must learn to think for ourselves..."

Others decided that "going their own way" meant to do things so 
differently that it no longer looked like what MMY intended.
