Not sure about that.  Even people who never hop
have reported a significant increase in clarity.
That's what I experienced too in the few days
before I started hopping.

By the time I learned, it was common knowledge
among TMers--at least in New York City--that it
was hopping rather than flying.  Didn't seem to
discourage anybody, since those who had taken the
course were so thrilled with the results.  I've
certainly never regretted taking it.
