I was going to say, yeah, what did you learn from the homeless fixing the mutt. That they are human. That we should spend out money on stray dogs. That we sould fix them and then let them go get killed or picked up by the spca? That American women are bitches? That they don't care if they get dirty walking through a crowd of himeless over fucked up puppies?  They last I suspect was poetic licence.

I don't get it. What was to learn?  Greater than this passive absorption is to actually do something oneself, like give those bums five bucks too make up for the lost liquor funds. Or something. I learned squat.  This was a load of crap.  Not that I was following the conversation. When it started looking and acting like a chomped mutt, and everyone started throwing their liquor change in to fix it I figured it was time to go get drunk by myself.

And then my wife walked in and told me to get the fuck off the computer for a minute and to take her to Macys.

Hey, I learn things from people every day.  Plenty of homeless in
Austin.  And you often see bumper stickers "Keeep Austin Weird."
I love talking to anybody and everybody and have learned lots of cool
things.

My question is:  What's the Game?

It's real to me that I'm on a planet called earth that is not in very
good shape.  I don't think it's an accident.  I have my responsibility
in it, but I'm in a trap; a very insidious one.

The trap is a good one.  Many people running around thinking that if
they accumulate a lot of stuff they've won.  Most of the west thinking
they only live one time.  I mean, that's a good trap.  There are many
wise men in the east yet I wouldn't call it in good shape.  For eg.,Unc
did the Lenz trip which it seems he feeled he benefitted from, but yet
can't decipher the bizarre ending (and perhaps thinks it not impt to).

I'm with Lawson in that I don't feel smart enough to figure it out
myself ( I hope I categorized you correctly there).  I've seen a lot of
talk about different mantras and different gurus and different
techniques.  A lot of which (if not most of it) goes over my head.
Who's right, or which one is right for you?  I know I'm not well versed
at all in all of this but it seems confusing to me.

If there is a way out it should be well taped.  Anybody should be able
to follow it.  I don't think it's a "you gotta figure it out all
yourself from square one" proposition.  And there should be some way to
verify progress and others should be able to observe that something
appears to be working.  Not just for a few but for many.

Nor do I think one guy can handle this planet alone.  It takes a
group.  And ultimately we all make it together or not at all.

My Sunday morning ramblings.

Jeff
