That myth died when I bought a black buck hide from an Indian initiator that 
had bullet holes.  He laughed when I proposed this myth to him.  He got 
Maharishi's from the same guy.  Of course there is always the possibility that 
it was suicide by poacher for the deer who wanted his skin to serve the royal 
butt.  The one I got must have been pisssssssed off when he found out his fate.
