That's because almost all religions make their money by convincing their followers that they are "broken" and require "fixing." > The mother of deer can stand in line behind the god who's > gonna punish me for being gay, the god who's gonna punish > me for not being Christian, etc. etc. Not to mention the god who is going to rend you asunder for the awful sin of being Rick Archer's friend and for not believing that crop circles are made by Space Brothers from the stars. I'm betting that those two guys are going to be first in line. > With respect to MMY and superstitious roo beliefs about > eating meat, I'm reminded of two things. One is the fact > that when I went to MIU, the MIU kitchen served chicken. All of those cooks and all of the people who ate the chicken are going to be right behind you in the "Wait here for your punishment" line in Hell. The only idea to cling to that can make you feel better is that Colonel Sanders will be ahead of you in line. :-) > The other is a story I heard about some meat-eating good > ol' boy from Texas who was on a course in the early days > and was suffering from the radical change in diet. > Supposedly, MMY told his buddy to go take him out for > a steak. I have it on good authority that the good ol' boy gets a "free pass" and goes straight to heaven, the way that Chopra gets a "free pass" now that Nabby knows he once praised Maharishi. On the other hand, his buddy is destined for hell for being a "meat eater enabler." :-) > And, finally, a question: since veal is a byproduct of > milk production, should lacto-vegetarians be worried > about a major afterlife smackdown by the mother of cows > for enabling veal production? Veal, being "not born yet," is one of those "gray areas" of vegetarianism, like eggs and caviar. If it ain't born yet, is it an animal? The thing is, Alex, that Nabby has admitted to eating frogs in his youth, and *without* Maharishi's blessing. He's going to be right behind you in that line in hell. My advice is to be kind and let him go first. :-)
