Freemasonry goes against many fundamentalist teachings, I believe.

My family lineage is full of fundamentalist Christians, including ministers and Freemasons as far back as 1640. I think you would be hard pressed to convince any of my Freemason relatives that they were not devout Christians practicing the fundamentals  of their religion. I've been to too many family funerals that incorporated both Masonic and Christian funeral rights. Oh, and by the way, what does "Fundamentalist Christian/Islamic type" mean?
