Actually the whole basis of the movement's teaching is dwelling on the past. As far as my comments go they are right up to date how I feel now. Discussing how I feel about things now is what interests me, not what happened in the past. I have my own version of the mental progress I have made in the interim just as you have. And how is trotting Jerry out to give him a standing ovation any less of a "dwelling on the past" than me expressing my feelings about the guy now? > > Some beloved souls become old within the TMO indeed. So you are just gunna gloss over the whole Jerry in exile period? I choose not to. And he is not even close to 100 give the guy a break. You should see my 89 year old dad move around if you want dynamic and approaching 100. > > Mentally they seem far younger than you and the Turq, not to mention the > tragic Sal. And you got all that by Jerry waving his hand? I know this is supposed to be a putdown but it kind of misses the mark a bit. Being mentally young is being asserted as a virtue but that depends on the context. Naive, not so good, able to learn new things, very good. And as far as being open to learning new things goes I don't see where movement leaders have much going on. They are repeating the same rap I heard 30 years ago. And Maharishi himself certainly fell apart at the end so whatever you are claiming for these guys didn't work for him. I don't know why you would refer to Sal as tragic, her sense of humor shows she is having a grand old time. Your need to put down people who put down the movement does say something about your ability to construct healthy intellectual boundaries. When I speak about the movement, that is not about YOU. You are a person who has a positive view of the movement. More power to you and I'm glad you found something you value in life. If you think we missed the big boat of life you could show a bit more enlightenment than by calling us a fool. I am not calling you a fool for believing in the Maharishi deal. I think you are wrong. But I can respect your personal choices and I wish you would respect mine. Just as I get a kick out of expressing my view of Maharishi you get a kick out of expressing your view of me. And both views are very snarky. If you wanted all sugar and spice you would not post here so I think we are quite similar in the online interactions we are attracted to. We are riding the contrasts to define our own lines of beliefs. > > > "The Movement belongs to those who move" > - Maharishi I moved. > > > > --- In [email protected], "curtisdeltablues" <curtisdeltablues@> > wrote: > > > > --- In [email protected], nablusoss1008 <no_reply@> wrote: > > > > > > > > > > > > --- In [email protected], "curtisdeltablues" > > > snip > > > > > > > The movement likes its saints dead or sidelined.
