Right after Buddha's enlightenment it is recorded that he wasn't planning to teach anybody because he realized the impossibilty of communicating "his" experience. Another time when he was asked about the nature of Realization he just twirled a flower. My favorite paradoxical vedic comment on the nature of Self: "Bigger than the biggest and smaller than the smallest."
