Read what I said again. I said one "used" to be able to fly for $600 round trip to Europe. This was circa 1990s. I flew round trip to India for less than $4K business class and that even booked at pretty much the last minute. Business class will really spoil you. And now you are saying it is over $1000, not $4000. Again it is all how you book the travel.
