I will cop to the occasional harshness. :-) You have to
understand that -- as opposed to the New Agey Woo Woo
environment of the TMO -- life in the Rama trip or in
subsequent Tibetan settings was more like a dojo. We
were all equals, martial artists in search of spiritual
experience, and we didn't pull punches. Honesty was
prized more highly than flattery, especially if someone's
thinking or behavior seemed to be "off."

As for my "initial assessments," sometimes it blows my
mind that people can't see what's so obviously right in
front of their faces. During their first two weeks on
this forum there was adequate data from which to deduce
that both Ravi and Robin were more than a little mentally
ill. It wasn't so much in what they said (although some-
times the choice of subject matter -- mainly Me, Me, Me --
was a big tipoff), as in *how* they said it. As Susan and
others have pointed out, the worrisome thing was in the
thinking processes themselves. Suffice it to say I found
too little coherence there to bother with reading more,
and said so.
