meltem, so very sorry to hear this. Condolences and virtual hugs to you. My views only: There's no way we can know whether reincarnation is really possible or how it might work. Some people have pretty vivid experiences of what they believe are their past lives, but the imagination can do powerful things. There are also cases for which there seems to be actual evidence, in which a person appears to know things about the past that they couldn't have known if they hadn't been there. Again, though, it's virtually impossible to prove. For me reincarnation is hypothetical. I can't say I'm convinced of it, but I can't rule it out either. It does seem to have explanatory value in many respects for what we observe of how people are and how the world works, and it can be a very comforting idea when you've lost someone precious. I don't see any harm in entertaining this idea, especially during the time of your most acute grief. Whether there are ways of calling your son back to the world, I have no idea. My personal feeling is that whatever one might hope for in this regard, it would be better not to have the expectation that one will see it fulfilled. The most one can do, it seems to me, is to send one's yearning out into the universe, and then gently let it go. My heart aches for you. I'll hold you in my thoughts.
