Yet in the oral tradition of Patanjali (and many, many others) there are
explicit warnings against the cultivation of siddhis. If you have observed
the TMO from the outside as an objective observer this might become
apparent. What the oral trads tell us is that the great secret of the
siddhis is foretold *before* pada three (i.e. The pada or "chapter" on the
siddhis). It is the greatest secret of yogis in many different traditions.
That secret is the methods behind the "fourth" pranayama. If you understand
where and why "the fourth" is used in yogic parlance, you'll grab a further
clue as to what this pranayama opens the door to!
Once one perfects THAT, the siddhis arise in their fullness, in their own
unique way, for your own uniqueness. We're all different.
