That's it exactly. Le Train Bleu has a bit of a 'rep in Paris as one of those places that only tourists go to, not locals. Their loss. It's one of the most magnificent rooms I've ever had the pleasure of dining in. Interestingly, in an article that I read recently on exactly that subject -- restaurants where you may not find any Parisians -- one of the ones mentioned was my former corner restaurant the first time I lived in Paris. It was a really cool but nondescript place in the VIIth called La Fontaine de Mars, because it was ...uh...located next to a fountain of that name. It was less than a block from where I lived, and so I used to go there a lot. Then Barack Obama came to town and had dinner there with his wife. Now I hear it's mainly filled with tourists. Again, their gain, Parisians' loss. The food really *was* good there.
