The one thing that Google Groups does that Yahoo could adopt is you have
to select the "Quote original" option to have prior post included when
you write a post. And if that option has been selected you still only
get the reply but there is an option to display the quoted text.
However I'm not sure members here would like Google Groups any better.

I had no idea that long posts take up physical space. I thought it was
all happening in the ether. Honestly.

Why are you guys so stressed out about the Yahoo Groups
format?
Most of you don't, or won't, take time to format your
messages for easy reading and reply. Most of you don't
even know how to snip to avoid taking up unnecessary
band space.
