Perhaps Judy doesn't recall, but "real" was Barry's term to define his guru's feats of levitation, as opposed to her yogic flying practice and just plain stage magic. This was not a metaphysical assertion, but was based on eye-witness accounts from hundreds of observers - and the science of the levitation event must have been measurable. According to what I've read, Rama was able to levitate at least an inch or two for a second or two, but others say he suspended himself in mid-air for an indefinite period of time and then filled the whole lecture hall with golden light. Barry claims it was REAL levitation. Go figure.
