Given the fact that there are a number of people *on this forum* who actually seem to believe that Tony Nader is a "King" and that the made-up Global Country of World Peace is really a "kingdom," if Maharishi believed that Americans were stupid, he seems to have been correct. Lawson really DID start all of this, by talking about "kings" and "succession" and "heirs to the throne" when THERE IS NO KING. THERE IS NO THRONE. THERE'S NOT EVEN A KINGDOM. There's just some guy from Lebanon who has so little going for him that he played along with Maharishi calling him a "King" and passing him off as the poster boy for celibacy, while hiding his wife and kids from everyone in the TM movement, including his supposed best friend John Hagelin. He wears a crown that means nothing and robes that mean nothing and he actually *DOES* nothing, claiming to "rule" from "the level of silence." And people like Lawson actually buy this shit and think he's a King. I think it's safe to assume that Maharishi's perception of Westerners as stupid was right on. :-) Stupid enough to get tied up in knots like you are about this silliness. Relax, find a front row seat at a joust or learn how to fire a crossbow or something.
