That referred specifically to the hyperventilation
(Sudarshan Kriya) technique.  MMY is also supposed to
have said it was "dangerous."

There's lots of stuff about Shankar on 
alt.meditation.transcendental.  Do a search for
"Ravi Shankar" rather than "SSRS," though.
